Abstract
It is difficult to think of a disease of the urinary tract which does not produce bleeding in its gross or microscopic form. A comprehensive survey of the cause would require the production of a combined textbook of urology and nephrology. However haematuria is an important topic. Its investigation has been well understood for many years. I hope the following will give some insight into the more unusual aspects of haematuria.
